Romance relationship wisdom quotes

1) “It's better to have loved and lost than to have to do forty pounds of laundry a week.”

-Laurence J. Peter

To do forty pounds of laundry a week resembles a solitude lifestyle, in which one takes care of oneself without having any love partner. It isn't that forty pounds of laundry is something too heavy to do, but, it is that if we don't risk ourself by throwing ourselves into the world of relationship we will never know the feeling of being in love and caring for someone, in which resembles something greater than us ourselves. We never know if a relationship with a woman will work out in the end but we must put our foot in to propel on. Sometimes, if we love someone who doesn't love us back, we must let them go if we truly love him or her. We must just want that someone to be happy even if it means being in the arms of another man or woman. It isn't that falling in love and losing that person is a good feeling, but just the fact that we had the chance of opportunity to love is what we should be thankful about.

2) “People are so fearful about opening themselves up. All you want to do is to be able to connect with other people. When you connect with other people, you connect with something in yourself. It makes you feel happy. And yet it's so scary - it makes people feel vulnerable and unsafe.”

-Toni Collette

Honestly expressing oneself is very difficult to do. We can be cocky, funny, dominant, and whichever characteristic that shows a great impression to others, but to honestly express ourself towards the ones who will feel otherwise about it is not easy to do. Yes, people will judge us by how we express ourself and they will treat us in accordance to it as well. When we have a connection with people, it means that we are rich in relationship. And, therefore, we will be happier than anything else in which life can provide us. However, it's so scary and makes us feel vulnerable and unsafe because of the negative way people will see us and treat us when we express ourself in a way that is a turn off. Some people may find these expressions interesting while others won't, and we can never know for sure unless we do so. When people say to be yourself when with a woman or man, they mean to be our best self and not who we aren't. Our love partner will smell it right away when we try to act like someone who are not. Honestly expressing ourself towards our love partner would be to always be the best that we can ever be towards that person.

3) “I don't think it's necessarily healthy to go into relationships as a needy person. Better to go in with a full deck.”

-Anjelica Huston

When we are a needy person we expect our love partner to do everything for us and we are very clingy towards that person. At first he or she will be happy to do so, but after a while it reveals our weakness, and since we resembled ourself to be this way he or she will have no other choice but to think less of us. To go in with a full deck means to not be all that needy or clingy, because there are times when our love partner does want to provide what we need and like us for being clingy since it shows deep care and interest. A full deck has some space of needing something and wanting to show care and interest because that's what makes us human, for, nobody is perfect in this matter.

4) “Men and women are not born inconstant (changing often in purpose, affection, or behavior ): they are made so by their early amorous (showing, feeling, or relating to sexual desire or romantic love ) experiences.”

-Andre Maurois

A rich and spoiled son of a CEO of a big company will not know how life is for the poor and for the ones who has to have it hard in taking care of oneself, because it was always provided to one. The father will think it is best for his son to meet the right woman that will shape his future towards the righteous path. This is how men and women are made so by their early amorous experiences, and are not born inconstant. We are all born to be simple in character, in which gets developed through showing, feeling, or relating to sexual desire or romantic love.

5) “Once a woman has forgiven her man, she must not reheat his sins for breakfast.”

-Marlene Dietrich

Men hate being bombarded at especially when they are eating. Women on the other hand will think that breakfast is the best time to get the attention of a man since it is the very beginning of the day. However, even if this is true bombarding at a man by reheating his sins isn't what catches his attention. This is especially the case when a woman has already forgiven a man. For a man, being forgiven is being forgiven and a new day at breakfast time is a fresh new day. Woman solve their stress by talking to one another while men are the ones who want to be left alone so that he can figure out the problem all on his own as a man.
